Saturday Psalm & Praise: All People That On Earth Do Dwell

I'm joining in the Saturday Psalm and Praise for the first time this week! I think it a lovely idea, it's a great way to prepare for the Lord's day. You also see that I don't think about politics all the time! :-) This week I'm posting "All People That on Earth Do Dwell", one of my favorite hymns. The second and fourth verses are my favorite parts of the hymn. Join me in praise of our King!

* * * * *

All people that on earth do dwell,
sing to the Lord with cheerful voice.
Him serve with mirth, his praise forth tell;
come ye before him and rejoice.

Know that the Lord is God indeed;
without our aid he did us make;
we are his folk, he doth us feed,
and for his sheep he doth us take.

O enter then his gates with praise;
approach with joy his courts unto;
praise, laud, and bless his name always,
for it is seemly so to do.

For why! the Lord our God is good;
his mercy is forever sure;
his truth at all times firmly stood,
and shall from age to age endure.

  1. This is a good hymn, though I don't think I've ever heard it.
    BTW, I tagged you for a book meme on my blog :D
